About

Hello,

I’m Zoë, and I believe deeply in the power of individuals to change the world.

You might have spotted me dressed up as a giant carrot wandering around Westminster, or dropping into your inbox pleading ‘FIRST NAME, act now’. If you opened, clicked, or even ‘acted now’, thank you…!

For the last decade, I’ve been advocating, strategising, and hustling for people and planet. As one of the earliest team members at Global Citizen, I grew our movement in the UK and Europe to the most engaged worldwide — taking over 1 million actions to end extreme poverty and winning campaigns on education, health, food waste, protecting the oceans and more. In celebration of what would have been Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday, I stepped up to lead the campaign ahead of Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, playing a critical role in driving 5 million actions, $7 billion in pledges to end poverty, and 117 million lives impacted worldwide. And in 2019, I led digital campaign strategy for the Global Citizen Festival: New York — driving pledges from world leaders to achieve the SDGs, telling powerful stories of the people and issues at stake, and spearheading a 75% YOY increase in actions taken.

From my early days drafting tweets and testing subject lines, to leading a stellar campaigns team across the UK, Germany, Nigeria, South Africa, US, Canada and Australia — I gained the heart of my experience from Global Citizen’s unique ‘pop-meets-policy’ model, using digital strategy, popular culture and high profile voices to tell stories that matter, attract untapped audiences to campaigning, and drive impactful action.

When I was invited to join Bite Back — co-founded by Jamie Oliver but led by inspiring youth activists — I was thrilled to have the opportunity to create impact from the grassroots up. I spent three years growing our movement from 15 teenagers to 15,000 young people in schools, communities and cities — recruiting, training, and co-creating campaigns to share their lived experiences with people in power.

Working with Bite Back’s activists, I learnt the power of empowering those with lived experience of an issue to lead. From Dev pushing the Prime Minister to end junk food ads, to Victor persuading his school to provide free meals during GCSE exams — I’m proud to have played a role in their wins.

Everyone can make an impact, whether your biggest stage is a school assembly, your local council meeting, or a stadium packed with Beyoncé fans. I want to help more progressive causes build campaigns and movements for change, and keep learning what it’ll take to create a better world for us all. If this sounds like something you need, I’d love to chat.

With hope,

Zoë
